What makes a free wedding ceremony on the Waldhof Herrenland so special? A charming property. A beautiful clearing surrounded by a forest. A rustic barn. Countless lampinions and small fairy lights illuminating the space. If that doesn’t sound like a dream location for a free wedding ceremony; I don’t know what does. Together it makes a beautiful charming backdrop for unforgettable memories. And that’s how it’s supposed to be, after all. There’s even a swing in the clearing. But what do you do when it rains on the day of the outdoor wedding. For this, there is an ingenious plan B on Waldhof Herrenland. A big cozy tipi tent. The rain pelts comfortably on the tent roof. The guests and the bridal couple sit comfortably in the dry. Nevertheless, you are outside in nature and can enjoy the very special day.

Kim and Daniel certainly imagined their big day differently. After Daniel proposed just before Christmas at the Baltic Sea, they decided to have a free wedding on Waldhof Herrenland. After the sunny civil wedding in June, which I was also allowed to accompany, it was only one week until the free wedding on Waldhof Herrenland. The plan was to give each other the YES word in the sunny clearing. But this plan fell literally into the water. Therefore, the ceremony was shorthand moved to the beautiful tipi tent next door. While the rain dripped evenly on the tent roof, Kim and Daniel gave themselves the yes word. The atmosphere was cozy & emotional. Afterwards, the wedding cake was served in the manor house. Delicious! And at a later hour, it was off to the barn for dinner and the party. The 1st dance was especially romantic. It was an unforgettable day for everyone. I am so incredibly grateful to have been a part of it!!
